Graeme is a Reader in Applied Physiology and Sports Nutrition at Liverpool John Moores University, UK. He is accredited with the UK Strength and conditioning Association (UKSCA), is an accredited physiologist with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and is on the Sport and exercise Nutrition register (SENr).  Graham is the only nutritionist in SENr, UKSCA, BASES and SCNR.  Graeme is a former professional rugby league player and has represented his country at youth and student level.

Since 2003, Graeme has combined his academic research and teaching with applied sports nutrition consultancy under his personal business ‘close nutrition’.

Graham is currently the head of sports nutrition at Munster Rugby and the lead nutritionist for British Ski and Snowboard as well as working with professional jockeys, European Tour Golfers and athletes professional and Olympic. On top of this Graeme regularly gives invited presentations at academic conferences and to sporting governing bodies such as UK Sport.

Graeme is highly published in sports nutrition and specializes in assisting athletes to achieve their ideal body composition as well as looking at the manipulation of macro and micronutrients to optimize performance
